Johnny Prather
Mr. Johnny Prather, 76, a resident of Hickman, Ky., died May 30, 2026, at Clinton Hickman County Nursing Facility.
Private services will be held at a later date at the family farm.
White-Ranson Funeral Home is in charge of cremation services.
Mr. Prather was born on Feb. 1, 1950, in Union City to the late Roy Clark and Mary (Warix) Prather. He worked in the Maintenance Department for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, and also was farmer. On Aug. 10, 2002, he married Debra Boyd. She survives.
Mr. Prather enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge #538 in Union City.
He loved his family fiercely, gave kindness freely and will be missed more than words can say. Deeply loved and deeply loving, he leaves behind a space that can never be filled.

He is also survived by a son, Josh (Erin) Prather of Oakland; daughter, Kim Prather of Union City; two stepdaughters, Maegen (Glenn) Cooper of Bradford and Tara (Andy) Woods of Dresden; seven grandsons, Jalen Prather, John Coble (Morgan) Garrett, Jack Garrett, Jacob Prather, Jasper Prather, Joey Mol and Liam Cooper; two granddaughters, Giana Markle and Kinsley Warren; great-granddaughter, Blaire Ivy Garrett; two sisters, Tammy Speed and Grace Russom, both of Union City; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Alex Renee Davis.
