Betty Chandler
Betty Sue Chandler passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 27, 2026, at Troy Church of Christ, with Bro. Kevin Dobbins officiating. Visitation will begin on Sunday at 1 p.m. and run until the time of service.
White-Ranson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Betty was the devoted wife of Jerry Chandler whom she was married to since March 14, 1958. She was born in Troy on June 9, 1940, to the late Hensley Brown and the late Ruby Raymer Brown. She worked for H. Leveton & Sons for 30+ years until her retirement. A woman of Christian faith, Betty was a faithful member of Troy Church of Christ for many years. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she found comfort and strength in her relationship with the Lord.
Betty is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Rhonda Chandler of Union City; her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Gary “Jip” Lofton of Troy; nine grandchildren, Shane (Velvet) Burpo, Brandon Boane, Kristin (Russ) Yates, Shawn (Amy) Chandler, Brady (Billie Dee) Chandler, Morgan (Jeff Nunnery) Solmon, Seth (Tara) Lofton, Amanda (Shawn Stover) Norton and Lance (Lauren) Lofton; and 21 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy Boane; two sisters, Linda Kay Brown and Shirley White; and two brothers, Bobby and Billy Brown.
She will be remembered with love and gratitude and held forever in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
