Sherry Ellison
Sherry Gail Ellison, 74 of Rives passed away Friday, March 13, 2026, at her home.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with Bro. Jeffrey Crabtree officiating. Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery in Rives. Visitation will begin at noon on Tuesday and run until the time of service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Armour, Kody Dunn, Zach Simpson, David Nelson, Phillip Coleman and Bryce Simpson. Honorary pallbearers will be Shane Turner, Danny Brooks, Chad Priest and Kevin Priest.
Mrs. Sherry was born in Troy on Sept. 27, 1951, to the late Thomas Jerry Osborne and the late Vernell Fortner Osborne. She married Mr. Roy Lee Ellison on Nov. 25, 1971. He survives. She worked as the Director of Nursing for NHC Home Care in Milan and was a member of Alamo Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, Roy, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Mary Armour of Kenton and Thomas and Christine Ellison of Union City; one daughter, Laurie Rea of Paducah, Ky.; two sisters, Pat Nolan of Troy and Peggy (Jeffrey) McMinn of Union City; nine grandchildren, Brandon (Amber) Armour, Brooke (Kody) Dunn, Adyee (Zach) Simpson, Mallori Rea, Sean (Taya) Ellison, Ashley Armour, Shelley (Tanner) Harrison, Bryce Simpson and Tyler Hairston; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Doris Wheatley and Glenda Hill.
