Joyce Willingham
Joyce M. Willingham, 84, of Union City passed away 9:25 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, 2026, at her home.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Chip Davis will officiate. Burial will follow in Fremont Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the hour of services on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026.
Pallbearers will be Cody Willingham, Josh Weaver, Justin Taylor, Cameron Roberts, Conor Roberts and Tony Darnall.
Joyce was born Oct. 7, 1941, in Colbert County, Ala., daughter of the late William Lawson and C.O. Joyce (Triplett) Baggett. She married Carl Gary Willingham July 16, 1962. He preceded her in death March 27, 2022. Joyce had been employed as a cook at the former Lake Road Plaza. She loved spending time with her family. An avid sports fan, Joyce enjoyed watching the University of Alabama football, the St. Louis Cardinals and the Memphis Grizzlies.
She is survived by one son, Carl “Tommy” Willingham and wife, Karen, of Union City; three daughters, Doris Toon and husband, Kevin, of Union City, Marie Roberts and husband, Chris, of Bloomington, Ill., and Cathy Willingham of Martin; two brothers, Roy Baggett and wife, Sharon, of Parsons and Donald Baggett and wife, Janet, of Union City; her beloved Morkie, Gizmo; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren which were her greatest treasures.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Jimmy Dale Willingham and Gary Donald Willingham; one grandson, Kyle Matthew Toon; five sisters, Ann Goff, Martha Goff, Lucille Willingham, Sadie Williams and Nancy Darnall; and five brothers, McKinley Baggett, Harold Gene Baggett, Gary Baggett, Billy Baggett and Laymon Baggett.
