Mike Rodgers

Michael Lee “Mike” Rodgers, 60, of Selmer passed away 11:08 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. He was a former resident of Union City.
Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025, at Selmer First United Methodist Church. Rev. Jolinne Balentine-Downey, Rev. Chris Thompson and Rev. Joy Weathersbee will officiate.
Visitation will be held at the church from 1 p.m. until the hour of services Sunday.
Pallbearers will be Sam McCullar, Lynn Horton, Wes Landreth, Greg Wilson, Pete Moditz and Stan Wheeler.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home in Union City is in charge of arrangements.
Michael was born Nov. 4, 1965, in Mayfield, Ky., son of the late Clifton Louis and Susie Lee (Martin) Rodgers. He was a 1983 graduate of Union City High School, where he was in the UCHS Marching Band, and a 1987 graduate of Bethel University in McKenzie, where he was a member of The Balladeers. Michael married Pamela (Drewry) Rodgers March 31, 1995. He served as music director at Selmer First United Methodist Church, where he was a member, and was employed as a music teacher at Selmer Elementary School.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Pamela Drewry Rodgers of Selmer; his sister and brother-in-law, Beth and Allen Edmaiston of Union City; and his nephew and niece, Matthew Edmaiston and Leah Beth Edmaiston, both of Union City.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard and Verdye Martin and Van and Minnie Rodgers.
