Scott Phillips
Roger Scott Phillips, 47, of Fulgham, Ky., passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025, at his home. He was a former resident of Union City.
Funeral services were conducted 4 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Keith Howell officiated.
Visitation was held at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until the hour of services Sunday.
Pallbearers were Sequoyah Smith, Jake Jones, Colton Jones, Michael Whitlow, Jackie Krietman, James Byrd, Jonathan Markle, Mike Thornton and Jamie Whitehead.
Scott was born March 25, 1978, in Union City, son of the late Roger Earl Phillips and Annette (French) Gibson of Union City. He married April (Britt) Phillips Sept. 7, 2013. She survives. He was employed by Republic Services in Mayfield, Ky. Scott loved camping, fishing and riding his Harley. He enjoyed aggravating everyone he was around.
He is also survived by one daughter, Hannah Phillips Smith (Sequoyah) of Union City; one son, Jordan Britt of Fulgham; one sister, Jennifer Phillips Jones of Union City; his stepfather, Dan Gibson of Union City; two nephews, Jake Jones and Colton Jones, both of Union City; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mike and Kay Britt of Fulgham; and several great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Ed and Winnie French and James and Sophia Phillips; and one cousin, Natalie Warner Chappell.
