Carol Pipkin

Carol Sue Pipkin, 82, of Sugar Tree passed away Monday, Sept. 8, 2025, at AHC Decatur County.
Carol was born March 13, 1943, near Medina to the late James Alvin and Rubye Strayhorn Rollins. She was a retired church secretary at Obion Baptist Church. She and her husband, Joel, moved to Sugar Tree from Obion County in the early 2000’s and have enjoyed living in Decatur County since then. She was a member of Decaturville First United Methodist Church.
Carol is survived by her husband, Joel C. Pipkin, of Sugar Tree; a daughter, Kelley (Mike) Leberte of Nashville; a son, John (Melissa) Pipkin of Hendersonville; and two sisters, Janice Raines of Georgia and Katherine Perry of Medina. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Lilly Pipkin of Bristol and Abba Pipkin of Hendersonville.
A memorial service will be held at Decaturville First United Methodist Church in Decaturville at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, with Rev. Aaron Dowdy and Rev. Jimmy Carter officiating. 
Visitation will be Saturday from 1 p.m. until service hour at the church. 
Her cremains will be buried at Latham Chapel Cemetery near Medina at a later time.
Reed’s Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
