Rodger Soppe

Rodger Dean Soppe, 79, of Hornbeak passed away Friday, July 18, 2025, at his home.
Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the Tennessee State Veteran’s Cemetery in Parkers Crossroads, with Bro. Wilson Walley officiating. Visitation will be Thursday beginning at 9:30 a.m. and run until 11:30 a.m. at White-Ranson Funeral Home in Union City.
Pallbearers will be Slade Davis, Dalton Davis, Jacob Sanders, Gregory Sanchez, Steve Smith and Bob McNeil. 
Mr. Soppe was born in Tipton, Iowa, to the late Leonard Soppe and the late Nelva King Soppe. He married Mrs. Connie Mills Soppe on June 5, 1968. She survives. He was a Navy Veteran and served his country proudly. He retired from International Harvester as a Repairman. In his later years, he loved watching Caitlin Clark play basketball and working in his wood shop.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Soppe is survived by his three daughters, Tammy Nicholson of St. Louis, Mo., Melissa Fraser of Kerville, Texas, and Christy Sanders of San Antionio, Texas; five grandchildren, Slade Davis, Dalton Davis, Jacob Sanders, Jasmine Soppe and Michaela Copeland; one great-grandson, Josiah Copeland-Estevez; and one sister, Diane Hayes.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Donavan Soppe; and one sister, Margen Mayer.
