Nancy Darnall

Mrs. Nancy Evelyn (Baggett) Darnall, 73, of Union City was called home by the Lord on Sunday, Aug. 10, 2025, at 10:17 a.m. at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Chapel. Brother Chip Davis will officiate. Burial will follow in Fremont Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Chapel from 11 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Howard, Brian Howard, Chris Baggett, Eric Baggett, Don Fisk, Tommy Willingham, Alex Baggett and C.J. Baggett.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gage Darnall, Cole Darnall and Zach Darnall.
Nancy was born Wednesday, June 4, 1952, in Colbert County, Ala., daughter of the late William Lawson and C.O. Joyce Triplett Baggett. She was raised in Hickman, Ky., where she met Terry Gene Darnall in the third grade. They married June 5, 1970, and were blessed with four children. He passed away Jan. 6, 2022.
She worked for Jimmy Dean and was the cook for Old Lake Road Plaza. She was of the Baptist faith. Nancy loved her family deeply. She also had a great love for cooking big meals that brought everyone together.
She is survived by one daughter, Stephanie Ozment of Troy; three sons, Tony Darnall (Amy) of Union City, Chucky Darnall (Amanda) of Union City and Stephen Darnall of Lakeland; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two brothers; one sister; three brothers-in-law; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and her very best friend of many years, Virginia.
She was also preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Madison Riley; her “mom” mother-in-law, Verice Lee Halton; five brothers; and four sisters.
