South Fulton city commission calls meeting

JUST IN: South Fulton city commission will hold a special called meeting Tuesday at 5 p.m. in the commission room at the city’s municipal complex.
The agenda will include the hiring of attorneys Brandon McWherter and Jonathan Bobbitt of the McWherter Scott Bobbitt firm to handle the city’s ongoing claim and any arbitration, mediation and/or litigation concerning the city’s claim against Public Entity Partners for the City Hall roof; moving into an executive session — which is closed to the public — at the fire station for the commission, legal counsel, city attorney, city manager and city recorder to receive attorney/client information regarding the PEP roof claim; approving and ratifying prior actions taken by attorneys McWherter and Bobbitt regarding the PEP roof claim (once the called meeting resumes after the executive session concludes); and approving arbitration of the PEP roof claim.
The agenda also includes a FEMA weather siren quote; and public comment period.
The meeting, with the exception of the executive session to discuss the litigation, is open to the public.
