DOING HER PART — A few raindrops didn’t keep Addison Long of Union City from helping clean up the downtown Union City area Saturday morning as she pulled weeds growing between a building and the sidewalk along Washington Avenue. The Go Green Day event was sponsored by Main Street Union City, Century 21 and Union City Parks and Recreation to celebrate Earth Day. Other volunteers picked up trash and planted flowers in the planters.
