AVERTING THEIR FACES

AVERTING THEIR FACES — Oozy Lumpa (Mariella Hazelwood, seated left), a monster who is friends with human KC (Jude Lattus, seated, right), tried to catch up with him after not seeing each other for a while in Masquerade Theatre’s production of “We Are Monsters.” They are interrupted when KC’s human friend Jade (Charlie Phillips, standing from left) starts recording the vampires, including (continuing from standing second from left) Vazel (Ella Duncan), Vladimer (Molly Dean) and Vank (Karsyn Southerland). The vampires, who can’t be seen on recordings, try to hide their faces before taking the cellphone away from Jade. The production is being staged at the Capitol Theatre in downtown Union City Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are on sale for $10 each at the Obion County Public Library or online at https://www.ucmasqueradetheatre.com/. Any remaining tickets will be available for purchase at the Capitol Theatre Box Office 30 minutes prior to each performance.
