REAL LIFESAVERS — Chris Cantrell (fourth from left), joined by his girlfriend, Susan Finch, stopped by the Union City Fire Department’s Central Fire Station recently to thank a shift of firefighters who performed lifesaving measures that successfully revived him after he suffered a near fatal medical emergency Dec. 22, 2025, at his home on North Third Street in Union City. The crew included (from left) Firefighter First Class Trent Hailey, firefighter Kyle Kennedy, Battalion Chief Kelly Stubblefield and (far right) Lt. Jacob Craddock. Not pictured is firefighter Robbie Van Holten, who was also part of the lifesaving effort. Stubblefield is a paramedic and the other four firefighters are all advanced emergency medical technicians (AEMTs).
