Dwight Morgan Sr.

Dwight Morgan Sr., age 57, of Obion and formerly of Dukedom, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024, at his residence. He was born on May 4, 1966, in Detroit, Mich.
Dwight Morgan was a 1985 graduate of Hickman County High School, longtime resident of Obion and employee of Tyson Foods for over 20 years. Dwight was married to Brandi Morgan, whom he adored with all his heart, and was a loving father to his son, Little Dwight; daughter, Paula Jean; and stepdaughter, Katie. Dwight was a kind-hearted man and loyal friend. He delighted in his five grandchildren. He was known for being able to fix anything and help anyone, anytime. Dwight loved his family well, was thoughtful, affectionate and faithful. Dwight was baptized at Enon Baptist Church in Mayfield, Ky., and has now entered into the presence of His Lord Jesus Christ. He will be greatly missed. 
Dwight is survived by his wife, Brandi Ledbetter Morgan of Obion; son, Dwight Morgan Jr. of Hickman, Ky.; daughter, Paula Jean Morgan of Arlington, Ky. (grandchildren Colton Jones, Ashlynn Jones and Adalynn Jones); daughter, Katie Crowell Farmer of Obion (grandchildren Tinley and Bentley Farmer); mother and father, John and Judy Morgan of Tampa, Fla.; brother, Phillip Morgan of Dukedom; sisters, Johnna Yealy of Tampa, Fla., and Judy Stevenson of Powder Springs, Ga.; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Dwight was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leonard “Buddy” Gaskins of Hickman, Ky., and Shirley Thompson Seagle of Farmington, Ky., (maternal); and John Early Morgan and Lena Welch Morgan of Hickman, Ky. (paternal). 
The funeral was officiated by family friend, Pastor Mickey Fowler of Pryorsburg Independent Methodist Church, Jan 22, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Hornbeak Funeral Home in Hickman, Ky. Visitation was held on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home.
