Robert Edward Finch
Robert Edward Finch, age 76, of Union City passed away October 31, 2023, at his home.
Mr. Finch was born January 16, 1947, to the late Luther Edward Finch and Harriet Lucille (Pollard) Finch.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Belinda Finch; his two sons, Roger (Johnna) Finch and Bradd (Amy) Finch, both of Troy; four grandchildren, Abby Finch of Mt. Juliet, Robert Mason Finch of Union City and Amber Finch and Nathan Finch, both of Troy; four great-grandchildren, Anaka McGowan of Mt. Juliet, Caroline Finch and Connor Fowler, both of Union City, and Karson King of Newbern; his siblings, Jo Ann (Billy) Campbell, Linda Finch and Eddie Finch, all of Union City; and four nieces and nephews, Jeremy Finch, Matt (Ashley) Campbell and Lindsay (Andy) McGowan, all of Union City, and Amanda (Tyler) Hallum of Newbern.
In addition, he is survived by two stepchildren, Crystal (Sammy) Snead of Troy and Steve (Celia) Johnson of Gleason; eight stepgrandchildren, Gavin Johnson, Cade Johnson and Lilia Johnson, all of Gleason, Alexis McGee, Hannah Reynolds and Chance Breeden, all of Union City, and Lucas Shadowens and Molly Shadowens, both of Troy; and one stepgreat-grandchild, Sawyer Reynolds of Union City.
He was a graduate of Union City High School and was employed at the former Hubbell Lighting in Martin for 28 years. He most recently served as a correctional officer at the Northwest Correctional Complex in Tiptonville for the past 20 years.
No funeral services will be conducted per his request.
