David Roper
David Lee Roper, 79, of Union City passed away 1:48 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Graveside services were to be conducted 2:30 p.m. today at East View Cemetery. Brother Ron Gray was to officiate.
There was no visitation and friends were asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
David was born Jan. 8, 1944, in Union City, son of the late Arthur Clement Roper and the late Carlene (Glisson) Roper Duke. David retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and was a member of Jones-Walker VFW Post 4862 in Union City.
He is survived by his daughter, Sheree Nagel of Wisconsin; his son, Keith Roper of Las Vegas, Nev.; and his brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Sandra Duke of Bartlett.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Roper.
