Phyllis Strain

Phyllis M. Strain, 93, of Union City passed away noon Friday, Oct. 13, 2023, at Fulton Nursing & Rehab Center.
Graveside services will be conducted 4 p.m. today at Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Phyllis was born June 5, 1930, in Butler, Pa., daughter of the late George and Ena (Tellier) Myers. She married Allen Ray Strain in 1965. He preceded her in death Feb. 13, 1994. Phyllis retired from Campbell Soup Company in Chicago as a production supervisor. She and Ray moved to Union City in 1988. Phyllis was an avid quilter, and enjoyed playing cards and collecting sports cards, stamps and coins.
She is survived by one daughter, Martha Wilke and husband, Ray, of Chicago, Ill.; one son, Vandel Polk Jr. of Michigan; two grandsons, Ray Wilke III and Charles Wilke; and five great-grandchildren, Emily Wilke, Audrey Wilke, Chase Wilke, Madison Wilke and Samantha Wilke.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Betty Sheptak; and two brothers, George Myers Jr. and Richard Myers.
