Joyce O’Connor

Mrs. Joyce Cruce O’Connor, 90, of Decatur, Ala., passed away 4:40 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023, at Morningside Assisted Living Center in Decatur. She was a former resident of South Fulton.
Graveside services were to be conducted 11 a.m. today at Obion County Memorial Gardens. Brother Ron Cox was to officiate.
There was no visitation and friends were asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Joyce was born Dec. 17, 1932, in Weakley County, daughter of the late Oscar and Leona (Moran) Clark. She was the widow of Junior Cruce and Joe O’Connor.
Joyce had been employed at the former H.I.S. in South Fulton and Fulton as a supervisor. She was a member of Central Park Baptist Church in Decatur and a former member of South Fulton Baptist Church for many years.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Lamb and husband, Ed, of Decatur; two sisters, Mary Sobba of Rogers, Ark., and Betty Flatt of Mayfield, Ky.; one brother, David Clark and wife, Jan, of Buchanan; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Ronnie Junior Cruce; one granddaughter, Crystal Lynn Cruce; and several brothers and sisters.
