Dorothy Lowery

Mrs. Dorothy Wade Lowery, age 92, of Hickman, Ky., passed away Monday, Nov. 29, 2021, at the Obion County Nursing Home in Union City.
She was born on Oct. 17, 1929. in St. Louis, to the late Ralph Wade and Naoma Pewitt Vick.
Mrs. Dorothy was a member of Cayce United Methodist Church and worked for the former Friendly Finance and Hick-man Federal Savings and Loans. She retired as a manager of Security Trust in Hickman and lived most of her life in the Cayce and Hickman area.

She is survived by a daughter, Quretha (Dennis) Coffey of Hickman; two grandchildren, Rob Coffey of Hickman and Brenna (Thomas) Ray of Union City; three great-grandchildren, Stowe Edward Ray, Sonny Thomas Ray and Sammy Dean Ray, all of Union City; and a half-brother, James Vick of Salem, Mo.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Robert “Sonny” Lowery; her stepfather, Damon Vick; and a half-sister, June Franklyn.
The family wants to thank Mrs. Dorothy’s extended family at the Obion County Nursing Home, she loved each and everyone there.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Cayce Methodist Church Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at the hour of service.
