Ruthie Huey

Ruthie Maudie Huey, age 91, passed away at her home in Gleason on Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2021. Maudie was a retired machine operator for H.I.S. in Gleason, and was a member of the Gleason Church of Christ for more than 60 years. She is preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Ernest Clayton Huey; her parents, George W. and Jester Julian; five brothers; and four sisters. She is survived by two sons, Gary Huey (Vickie) of Mooresville, North Carolina and Steve Huey of Lafayette, Louisiana; two daughters, Debbie Patton of Gleason and Patricia Folden (Chad) of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She left a positive impact on this world and touched the lives of all that knew her. She will be dearly missed. There will be a graveside service at 11 a.m. at Hopewell Cemetery in Gleason.
