TROY CELEBRATES BICENTENNIAL — Troy alderman Chris Jones (from left) and Mayor Mark Watson lowered a time capsule into a hole at City Park, while (continuing from third from left) alderman Kristi Scarborough, vice mayor Lana Carson, Obion County Mayor Steve Carr, Troy city manager Bryant Cruce and (far right) Jim Polk looked on. The spot will be marked with a special stone with instructions to open it on Troy’s tricentennial. The event was planned by members of the Troy Community Association, which includes Jones and Mrs. Scarborough.
