Roger Norquist Jr.

Roger Wesley Norquist Jr., 68, of Troy entered into the arms of Jesus Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024, at Troy First Baptist Church, with Bro. Rick Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin Thursday at 11 a.m. and run until the time of service at the church.
White-Ranson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Adkins, Kenneth Coker, Adam Griffin, Will Murphy, Thad Sanders and Bubba Morton.
Mr. Norquist was born in Union City on Sept. 30, 1955, to the late Roger Wesley Norquist Sr. and the late Josie Pauline Sparks Norquist. He married Mrs. Tina Emrich Norquist in 1991. She survives. He was a Christian and a member of Troy First Baptist Church and was retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Marie Adkins and her husband, Kenny, of Pass Christian, Miss., Gale Coker and her husband, Kenneth, of Dresden, Brandi Griffin and her husband, Adam, of Union City, and Emma Murphy and her husband, Will, of Troy; nine grandchildren, Mariah (Shane) Upchurch, Sommer Adkins, Madison Hicks, Journey Adkins, Aiyana Cross, Joe Wesley Adkins, Lillie Claire Griffin, Gabriel Murphy and Lukas Coker; two great-grandchildren, Hadilynn and Wesley Upchurch; three sisters, Diane (David) Sanders, Patty Chappell and Debi (Glenn) Rudd, all of Troy; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Mr. Norquist was preceded in death by his nephew, Chad Rudd.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Mr. Roger.
