James Hogan

James (Jimmy, JJ) Franklin Hogan, 60, of Dresden Tennessee died on Saturday, November 25th, 2023 at his home in Dresden. Born Tuesday, October 8, 1963, he was the son of the late Dallas Franklin Hogan and the late Betty Ann Ivy Hogan. He leaves to cherish his memory, a son, Joshua (Robyn) Hogan of Franklin, Kentucky, a daughter, Kimberly (Elijah) Robinson of Goldston, North Carolina, four grandchildren, Jayce, Presley, Asher and Ryleigh, three brothers, Bobby Hogan (Tonya) of Dresden, Ricky (Sandy) Hogan of Dresden, Michael Hogan of Dresden, and two brothers-in-law, George Barker of Dresden, Van Butts of Dresden, sixteen nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest Hogan and Greg Hogan, and two sisters, Debra Barker and Jennifer Butts. Jimmy was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother and friend to many. Jimmy was a simple man that cared deeply for others, loved watching sports, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. “Forget your lust. For the rich man’s gold. All that you need. Is in your soul. And you can do this. If you try. All that I want for you, my son, is to be satisfied. And be a simple kind of man.” A Memorial Visitation will be held at Bowlin Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 29th, 2023 from 4pm-6pm, followed by a Memorial Service at 6pm.
