Rachel Ellison
Rachel Ann Ellison, age 86, of Union City passed away Friday, Sept. 1, 2023, at The Waters of Union City.
Graveside service were 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 3, 2023, in East View Cemetery, with Mike Cooper officiating.
Friends and family were asked to meet at the cemetery.
Mrs. Ellison was born in Carthage, Miss., on Aug. 23, 1937, to the late Doyle Abernathy and the late May Ellen Gross Abernathy. She married the late Harry Ellison, who passed away on Aug. 3, 2021.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Union City and a retired second grade teacher for the Union City School System.
Mrs. Ellison is survived by her sister, Doris Jackson and her husband, Jimmy; and her grandson, Hunter Ellison.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Brent Ellison.
