James Tittle
James Clinton Tittle, 82, of Troy passed away 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2023, at his home.
Memorial services were conducted 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Kevin Thomason officiated.
Honorary pallbearers were Eddie Tittle, Justin Tittle, Larry Ulmer, Mike Thomason, Ron Baker, Billy Joe Knight, Jimmy Gwaltney, Ralph Moore and Carney Lovett.
James was born March 20, 1941, in Lynn, Ala., son of the late James Loris and Celia (Plunkett) Tittle. He married Tinnie “Tim” (Mays) Tittle Feb. 24, 1962. She survives.
James was a member of Main Street Church of Christ in Troy. He was a veteran of the United States Army, where he served in the military police.
He is also survived by two daughters, Illana Moore and Angela Chadwell and husband, Samuel, all of Murfreesboro; two grandsons, Clint Moore of Murfreesboro and Andrew Moore of Liberty; two brothers, Eldon Tittle of Ridgely and Aaron Tittle and wife, Faye, of Troy; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Joyce Walker, Nell McNeal and Janie Adams; and two brothers, Hershel Tittle and Steve Tittle.
