Gary Boyett

Gary Quin Boyett, 73, of Kenton died on Friday, Aug. 18, 2023, at his residence.
Born Wednesday, Feb. 8, 1950, in Martin, he was the son of the late Walter Quinton Boyett and the late Norene Wheatley Boyett.
Mr. Boyett was the owner of Primeline Nutrition in Kenton. In 1972, he graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a degree in Agriculture. In 1974, Mr. Boyett continued his education at Kansas State and earned a master’s degree in animal science with a focus on animal nutrition. He was the former owner of Volunteer Hereford Cattle Farms. Mr. Boyett was an avid fan of University of Tennessee football.
A Celebration of Life service for Mr. Boyett was held Tuesday Aug. 22, 2023, in the chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home, with visitation starting at 1:30 p.m. and the service starting around 2:30 p.m. Officiating the service was Bro. Tony Smith.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Molly Tucker Boyett of Hornbeak; and two daughters, Corri “Boyett” King (Lindell) of Jackson and Mandy Norman (Chris) of Yorkville. He was affectionately known as “Bulldog” to his three grandsons, Alex Mann, Collin Norman and Brody Norman; one sister, Betty Boyett Trout (Bruce) of Kenton;  and one nephew, Duncan Trout of Knoxville.
