Dennis Bruner

Dennis Wayne Bruner, 76, of Martin, passed away Friday, June 23, 2023, at the AHC-Union City. Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Hornbeak Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in the Sandy Branch Cemetery. Dennis was born on July 23, 1946 in Fulton, Kentucky, to the late Emmuel and Imogene Thompson Bruner. He served in the Tennessee National Guard for six years and was a retired member of the Cumberland Aires. He was also a member of the Coffee Club. Dennis was a retired electrician and foreman for the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) in Martin. He was a member of Ruthville Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and was the oldest active member. He is survived by his wife, Betty Roberson Bruner of Martin, whom he married April 29, 1966; two sons, Keven (Michelle) Bruner of Martin and Kelly (Mitzi) Bruner of Obion; four grandchildren, Grace (Brant) Luker of Lexington, Emma Bruner of Martin, Kaleb Bruner and Adam Bruner, both of Obion; and an aunt, Edna Earl Roper of Hickman, Kentucky.
