Marlene Ring

Marlene Lippard Ring was born in 1937 and grew up on a family farm in Obion County.
She graduated from Rives High School and Lambuth College and spent her career in banking in Union City, where she met and married Milton Ring and spent her adult life. She passed away on May 18, 2023, at Alive Hospice in Nashville. She loved her family, friends, church and community in deep, quiet, caring ways. Her kindness, grace and strength touched and inspired so many. We will all miss her every day.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Ring; and by her brother and sister-in-law, Fay and Clara Lippard. She is survived by her son, Mark; grandchildren, Trevor and Karis; nephews and nieces, Jim and Amy Lippard and Donny and Jo Lippard; and many family and many friends who became extended family.
A service of celebration will be planned early this summer. Memorials may be made to Alive Hospice in Nashville or to Community Bible Church in Union City.
