Dola O’Daniel

Dola Mae O’Daniel, age 77, of Dresden, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Tennessee Healthcare Volunteer Hospital in Martin after a long illness. Ms. O’Daniel was born on Feb. 13, 1946 in Ridgely. She attended school in Chicago and married in 1963. She later moved back to Tennessee to be closer to her parents and raise her children as a homemaker. She loved to listen to the Perrys and Jimmy Swaggart. She is survived by her children, Vicky (Jerry) Ross of Dresden, Charles (Rhonda) Collins of Gleason and Jeff (Jeannie) Collins of Gleason; five grandchildren, Matthew Holt, Mallory Welch and Brittney Chappell, all of McKenzie, Caycee Collins and Spencer Collins, both of Gleason; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Allie Martin; one sister, Jeanette Jones; and one brother, Charles Ray Martin.
