James Wisdom

James Edward Wisdom Sr., age 87, of Obion died Wednesday, March 29, 2023.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 3, 2023, at First Baptist Church in Obion. Visitation was held Sunday, April 2, from 5-8 p.m. at the church. The Rev. Michael Julian officiated and burial followed in the Rosehill Cemetery in Obion.
Cryer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Wisdom was born May 4, 1935, in Trimble, the son of the late Odie and Annie (Adcock) Wisdom. He was a factory employee of the former Lear Sigler plant in Union City.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda (Palmer) Wisdom of Obion; two sons, James E. Wisdom Jr. of Union City and Tracy (Simone) Wisdom of Union City; five daughters, Tammy (Ronnie) Brown of Rives, Terry Martin of Rives, Robin (Tom) Shepherd of Hendersonville, Sheila (David) Scobey of Obion and Ginger (Jeff) Wilson of Lebanon; two sisters, Barbara Moss and Faye Coleman, both of Trimble; 16 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
