Billy Ray Keeling
Billy Ray Keeling, 73, of Elbridge passed away 9:50 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, 2023, at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Rick Knoll will officiate. Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Smith Jr., Heath Keeling, Brian Thomason, Kenneth Stover, Randy Via and Tony Henson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ty Keeling, Hank Keeling, Mark Keeling, Luke Keeling, John Keeling, Hubert Baker, Thomas Woody, Larry Via and Collie Berry.
Billy Ray was born April 18, 1949, in Dyersburg, son of the late Billy Lawton and Blanche (Whitlow) Keeling. He married Pat (Webb) Keeling Nov. 16, 1968. She survives. Billy Ray retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company after 40 years of service. He was a member of Oak Ridge Church of Christ, enjoyed riding horses, playing guitar and being Pappaw to his grandchildren.
He is also survived by two daughters, Debbie Keeling Smith (Steve) of Murphy, N.C., and Lori Keeling (Hubert Baker) of Newbern; one son, Bill Keeling Jr. (Shelia) of Gleason; four grandchildren, Stephen Smith Jr. (Areyon) of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Heath Keeling (fiancée Alexia Allen) of Jackson, Amber Nikole Woody (Thomas) of Ellijay, Ga., and Ty Keeling of Gleason; 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Martha Via Rogers (Allen) of Water Valley, Miss., Vickie Hale of Union City and Betty Harling (Joey) of Elbridge; four brothers, Hank Keeling (Rachel) of the Shawtown community, Mark Keeling (Susanne) of North Charleston, S.C., Luke Keeling (Sherry) of the Sidonia community and John Keeling (Cindy) of Elbridge; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Theresa Jobe; and one brother, Jeff Keeling.
