Martin man has evading arrest charge added to list of previous charges
On Oct. 24 at approximately 2:24 p.m., Patrolman Kelly Daniel Hendon with the Martin Police Department, while patrolling the area of Murphy Drive located a wanted person, 24-year-old Tyrell McElrath, walking down the street.
Upon attempting to make contact with McElrath, he ran on foot and as Hendon turned the patrol vehicle onto Murphy Drive, McElrath gave his child to his girlfriend and proceeded to run south on Murphy Drive, running between two houses towards Parish Street and jumped a fence while running east.
Hendon yelled for McElrath to stop, or Hendon would sign another warrant for his arrest, but McElrath continued to run.
McElrath currently had an active warrant out of Weakley County General Sessions for violation of probation and ran from Hendon while attempting to serve the warrant and due to the offender running from Hendon while attempting to serve, a warrant was issued for evading arrest.
McElrath has been charged with evading arrest, criminal impersonation and violation of probation.
DISCLOSER: Information obtained came from the Martin Police Department affidavit provided by Patrolman Kelly Daniel Hendon.

I think the real offense here is that “law” enforcement officer got their feelings hurt because the said offender wouldn’t conform to the officers will, and when threats of more charges didn’t work, the “officer” was either too lazy, or out of shape to pursue the “offender” so the “officer” feelings get hurt, and then proceeds to feed us whatever bs they hope the public will believe. Whatta joke these badge carriers are. If the “officer” didn’t catch said “offender” where’s the PROOF that it IS who the “officer” says it was??! I guess we’re just supposed to believe whatever bs “law” enforcement feeds us??! Smells like hurt feelings, speculation, and BS to me, instead of FACTS.
