Richard R. Raichert
Richard R. Raichert, born Oct. 8. 1942, in Chicago, passed away Saturday, Sept. 24, 2022. at his home in Panama City Beach, Fla., with family by his side after a courageous battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roman Raichert and Eleanor Frymark Raichert of Des Plaines, Ill., and his son, Scott Richard Raichert of Union City.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Raichert of Panama City Beach; his daughter, Lori Elnagar of Chesnee, S.C., her husband, Dr. Garnal Elnagar, and grandson, Gordon Scott, who is attending Pomona College in Claremont, Calif.; his daughter, Patti Goodwin of Augusta, Ga., her husband, Dr. Henry N. Goodwin Jr.; grandson, Henry North Goodwin III, who is attending the University of George in Athens, Ga.; granddaughter, Isabelle Walker Goodwin; his sister, Dianne Catlin of Sarasota, Fla.; and his nieces, Kim Nicholson of Irvine, Calif., and Kristi Dietz of Woodland Hills, Calif.
He attended Maine Township High School in Des Plaines,, Ill., and Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wis., where he graduated in 1965 with a bachelor of science in business administration. He was first employed by Louis Allis Company, Milwaukee, as an industrial engineer. He joined Sta-Rite Industries in February 1972, as a manufacturing engineer and retired from Sta-Rite as a plant manager in Union City in 1992.
He and his wife have been devoted members of Wood-lawn Church in Panama City Beach since moving there in 2007. He was a loyal member of the Life Class which he enjoyed so much. Boating, fishing, bowling and hunting were his passions.
A private family service will be held at later date in Panama City Beach and in Kenton.
