Mary Star Edwards

Mary Star Edwards, age 77, of Hornbeak passed away Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the home of her daughter, Vickie Basham.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, February 26, 2026, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Austin Norton will officiate. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery near Hornbeak.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday, February 26, 2026.
Mary was born November 7, 1948, in Obion County, daughter of the late Carl William and Fannie Belle (Goodman) Cashion. She was the widow of Ray Edwards, who preceded her in death in June 1984.
Mary retired from Tyson Foods in Union City. She enjoyed fishing and was a member of Hornbeak Baptist Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Vickie Basham (Terry) of the Walnut Log community, Cindy Wheeler (Kevin) of the Crystal community and Pamela G. Burgos (Gaspar) of Cape Coral, Florida; two sisters, Susan Boyd (Roy) of Ridgely and Martha Faye Thompson (Richard) of Hornbeak; two brothers, Robert Cashion of Troy and Jackie Cashion (Laverne) of Elbridge; six grandchildren, T.J. Basham, David Basham, Jamie Basham, Alyssa (Edwards) Green, Katlyn Wheeler and Xavier Burgos; and five great-grandchildren, Emery Basham, Wyatt Basham, Lanie Basham, Addie Basham and Natalie Green.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Audrey (Cashion) Darnell; and eight brothers, Charles Lewis Cashion, John Daniel Cashion, Phillip Stanley Cashion, Dale Goodman, Timothy Cashion, Henry Cashion, Jimmy Goodman and William Cashion.
