Frances Crowell
Marlyn Frances Crowell, 84, of Union City passed away 5:35 a.m. Monday, Oct. 3, 2022, at Obion County Nursing Home.
Funeral services were conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Dr. Melvin Poe officiated. Burial followed in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation was held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.
Pallbearers were Dustin Crowell, Corey Crowell, Bobby Winston, Logan Winston, David Hagan and Tony Lane.
Frances was born July 3, 1938, in Obion County, daughter of the late Marshall and Everlina (Farley) Baker. She married James David Crowell Feb. 27, 1960. He preceded her in death Feb. 13, 2001. Frances had been employed at the former Salant & Salant and retired from the former Brown Shoe Company. She was a member of Sunswept Baptist Church in Union City.
She is survived by four grandchildren, Kelly Totty of Milan, Kim Winston (Bobby) of Martin, Dustin Crowell (Kailey) of Rives and Corey Crowell (Shay) of Union City; eight great-grandchildren; and her daughter-in-law, Nina Crowell of Union City.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Timmy Joe Crowell.
