HOSTING DAISIES — Lyda Rice of Union City recently opened up her garden to Daisy Girl Scout Troop 40017 and taught the girls, including (from left) Dallas Wallace, Piper Curlin and Idella White, about each of the different types of flowers she grows and how to take care of them. Mrs. Rice even helped the girls plant flowers they could take home and made cookies which the girls enjoyed as they sat and visited among all her beautiful flowers.

That’s such a sweet part of being a leader for young girl’s old school like milk and cookies should be passed on. Gardening is the growth knowledge for food the know how to. Lovely flowers ladies!!!
