Velma Waddell

Services for Velma M. Waddell, age 93, of Greenfield was held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16 at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Greenfield. Burial followed in Brock’s Cemetery in Greenfield. Velma was survived by son, Van Waddell and wife Julie of Greenfield, and Eric Waddell of Greenfield; daughters, Vivian Cash and husband, John David, of Greenfield, Wanda Lockhart and husband, David, of Indiana, and Deborah Jones and husband, Wade, of Greenfield; brothers, David Yates and Steven Ray Yates, both of Illinois; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Waddell; parents, Leslie Yates and Edna Hale Yates; brothers, Clyde Gilbert Yates, Bobby Yates, Linton Lennon Yates and Truman Yates; and sister, Mary Sue Bayhylle.
