W. Hamilton Parks

Memorial services will be announced by White-Ranson Funeral Home, which is in charge of cremation and arrangements.
The service will take place at the Parks plot in Pierce Cemetery and will be conducted by an honor guard of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Hamilton Parks Public Library, 74 Parks Plaza, Trimble, TN 38259.
He was born March 15, 1923, and was a semi-retired businessman, serving as president of Parks Acres Inc., the family farming operations, and he was an elder and clerk of the session of Trimble Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was a life member of the SCV, Sons of American Revolution and the Tennessee/Dyer County Retired Teachers Association.
He attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville and graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a degree in business agriculture. At UT, he was president of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and the Agriculture Club.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, the former Merion Spence, whom he married Jan. 27, 1951; his son, William Parks of Spokane, Wash.; his daughter and son-in-law, Virginia (Parks) and Dr. F.E. Williamson III of Jackson; three grandchildren, Parks Williamson, Sarah Williamson and Andrew Williamson; and his sister, Caroline (Parks) Harris of Los Angeles.
He was preceded in death by his son, R.E. Lee Parks.
