Larry Reed

Mr. Larry Everett Reed, age 71, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Graveside services for Mr. Reed will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Sunnyside Cemetery in Kenton, with Daniel Hamm officiating. Visitation for Mr. Reed will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, from 5-8 p.m. in the Chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Kenton.
Mr. Reed was born on Sept. 28, 1943, to the late W.C. and Mattie Fletcher Reed. Mr. Reed was a member of Christian Chapel Church of Christ, a retired 32-year employee of Goodyear and worked at Tilghman Chevrolet in earlier years. Mr. Reed was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Janey Chaney; one brother, Gerald Reed; and a daughter-in-law, Deronda Reed.
Mr. Reed is survived by his wife, Carol Reed of Kenton; two sons, Kevin Reed and his fiancée, Tina Vinson; and Robert Reed and his wife, Shawna, of Mason Hall; seven grandchildren, Paige Reed of Union City, Mary Beth Riley and husband, Jimmy, of Troy, Jacob Reed of Rives, Erin Reed of Trenton, David Reed of Trenton and Cassidy Cowan and Novella Cowan of Mason Hall; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Barbara Parker of Martin; and one brother, James Reed of Louisiana.
Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
