Bill Brechears

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Dr. Bobby Williams and Brother Steve Carr will officiate. Burial will follow in Fremont Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Pallbearers will be Denny Davidson, Charlie Mooney, Mark Merritt, Jimmy Merritt, Curtis Merritt and Danny Montgomery. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Philip Sherman, Jake Carr, Glen Reed, Larry Gray and Johnny Caudle.
Mr. Brechears was born March 4, 1928, in Obion County, son of the late Hollomon Stanley Brechears and the late Dicie Carloyn (Grooms) Brechears Gray. He married the former Janice Faye Killion Feb. 8, 1956. She survives. He had been employed at the former American Metals and the former Lear-Siegler in Union City and had retired from the Tennessee Division of Forestry. Mr. Brechears served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church near Union City.
He is also survived by three daughters and his son-in-law, Donna and Gary Dane of Union City and Shirley Jackson and Judy Mooney, both of Jackson; his sister, Frances Glisson of Fulton; three grandchildren and their spouses, Jamie and Lindsey Matheny of Union City, Michael Paul and Dorian Kirk of Newbern and Amanda and Ronnie Webb of Medina; and 10 great-grandchildren, Scarlett Matheny of Union City, Bailey Webb, Brooke Webb and Ellie Webb, all of Medina, and Michael Paul Kirk Jr., Catelyn Kirk, P.J. Andrew, Hayley Andrew, Madison Andrew and Erica Andrew, all of Newbern.
He was also preceded in death by his infant daughter, Belinda Faye Brechears; and his sister, Betty Jean Wallace.
