The clinic also offers electric stimulation, which accelerates the wound healing process by decreasing edema (swelling), increasing oxygen supply to the tissue and increasing blood flow to the wound, all of which decrease pain, according to Mrs. Parker. Another service offered at the clinic is specialty dressings, specific for a variety of wound types. Compression therapy is available for venous ulcers, and arterial testing is performed at the clinic. The staff at McCoy Medical Wound Care also provides such treatment options as the removal of dead tissue, bilayered skin substitution and infection control. “We strive to provide quality care to you in your time of need,” Mrs. Parker said about her clinic. “Our goal is to treat you like family while providing care to help with the healing process of your wounds.” The telephone number for McCoy Medical Wound Care is 885-8881.
