Miss Vernon to wed Meeks on June 15

The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Ashley Elizabeth Vernon and Benjamin Joseph Meeks, both of Nashville, are being announced today.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Larry and Beverly Vernon of Union City. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Gurien of Union City and Sewell Vernon of Indianapolis.
She is a 2002 graduate of Union City High School. She attended the University of Mississippi. While at Ole Miss, she was a member of the Phi Mu Fraternity. Completing her career with the Court Reporting Institute of Dallas, she is a freelance court reporter with Elite Reporting Services in Nashville.
The groom-elect is the son of Phillip and Debbie Meeks of Augusta, Ga. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Winfree of Lebanon and the late Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Meeks of Toccoa, Ga.
He is a 2004 graduate of Lakeside High School in Augusta. He received a bachelor of business administration degree in banking and finance from the University of Mississippi. While at Ole Miss, he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He is employed with Mars Pet Care in Franklin as an inbound logistics coordinator.
The couple will exchange vows at 6:30 p.m. June 15 at Woodmont Christian Church in Nashville. Music will begin at 6 p.m.
A reception will follow at the Hutton Hotel in Nashville.
