Mike Barker

Mike Barker, 51, of Hornbeak went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2026.
Funeral services will be conducted 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24, 2026, Greater Vision Church in Troy. Brother Austin Norton, Brother Aaron Bargery and Pastor Robin Rotgers will officiate.
Visitation will be held at the church from 3 p.m. until the hour of services Monday, Aug. 24, 2026.
Pallbearers will be Joey Barker, Jeremy Lowe, Carl Hammond, Frankie Underwood, Bobby Stockdale Jr. and Tristan Morris.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mike was born Sept. 1, 1974, in Martin, son of Danny and Deborah (Gallimore) Barker. He married Patt (Floyd) Barker May 10, 1995. Mike was employed as parts manager for Alliance Ag Equipment in Troy. Mike was a son, husband, father, Pops, friend, musician, singer and so much more. He loved God and fishing. He was a fisherman and fisher of men. Mike was a hilarious and compassionate man. He had a great ear for music and even better voice. Mike’s parents, brother, wife, daughters and granddaughters were his everything and he was their rock. Mike’s favorite music was just good music. As Mike would say “Live Like Jimmy Buffett” and “Go Cardinals.”
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Patt Barker of Hornbeak; his parents, Danny and Debbie Barker of Hornbeak; two daughters, Catelin Barker (fiance’ Jeremy Lowe) of Union City and McKayla Barker (fiance’ Timothy Isbell) of Hornbeak; two granddaughters, Ella Mae Lowe and Ember Rose Lowe, both of Union City; and one brother, Joey Barker (Vanessa) and their children, Lainey Barker and Logan Barker, all of Union City; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, George Freeman Floyd and Rhea Nelle Floyd of Hornbeak; his sister-in-law, Amy Reynolds and husband, Scott, and their two children, Tristan Morris and Megan Reynolds, all of Hornbeak; and many extended family members and friends that he was loved by.
He was also preceded in death by one infant brother, Kevin Barker.
