Sharon Connell
Mrs. Sharon Connell, 76, of Union City, passed away at 7:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17, 2026, at her home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Paul Adams will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Keith Connell, Kurtis Connell, Cameron Cabrera, Michael Bishop, Jeff Simpson and Robert Cabrera.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from noon until the hour of services Friday.
Sharon was born Oct. 15, 1949, in Cadiz, Ky., daughter of the late Joe and Fatha (Thomas) Guier. She married Steve Connell Aug. 22, 1992. He survives. Sharon worked for over 30 years in the Obion County School System as a teacher and most recently served as GED coordinator for the Obion County Board of Education. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is also survived by two daughters, Kim (Robert) Cabrera of Wellington, Fla., and Jodie (Jeff) Simpson of Union City; two sons, Keith (Michelle) Connell of Union City and Kurtis (Sharee) Connell of South Fulton; seven grandchildren, Elana Hale, Hunter Hale, Sean Cabrera, Cameron Cabrera, Hailey Simpson, Chelsea Simpson and Charlee Mae Connell; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Jimmie (Rita) Guier of Hopkinsville, Ky.; and her mother-in-law, Patsy Connell of Union City.
She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Gabriel Cabrera; and one sister, Kaye Schulmerich.
