Vivian Caksackkar

Vivian Delores Caksackkar, 103, of Troy passed away Monday, June 23, 2025, at The Waters. 
She was born in Osnabrock, N.D., on Oct. 25, 1921, to the late Jacobe Klai and the late Welhelmina Wohn Klai.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2025, in Sander’s Chapel Church Cemetery, with Bro. Tony Keeton officiating. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
White-Ranson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She moved to Plymouth, Mich., in December 1941 and was employed at Kelsey Hayes Defense Factory for four years where she met her husband, Barney Caksackkar. They married July 3, 1943. Vivian then worked 18 years at Daisy Manufacturing Company in Plymouth.
In 1974, she and Barney moved to Paris, Tenn., and then to Union City in 1991. In September 2000, they moved to Beverly Health Care, now known as The Waters. Barney passed away in November 2002. Vivian made this her home until she passed away.
Her survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Shirley Monson of North Dakota and Mrs. Phyllis Berntson of Minnesota; several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, cousins, and one cousin who is her God Child, Judy Fetters.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Ruby Klai; brother, Jack Klai; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dartie and Ruth Calsackkar; sisters-in-law, Opal Grady, Jean Calhoun, Ruth Caksackkar and Effie Call; and brothers-in-law, Floyd Calhoun, James Caksackkar, Samuel Grady and Charley Call.
The family requests donations to sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
