Wesley Pleasant
Clyde Wesley Pleasant was born on July 30, 1964, in St. Louis, Mo., and left this world to join his father and brother in Heaven on March 5, 2025, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Wesley was married to his loving wife, Stacey, for 26 years. During their time together, they raised their 3 children, Jonathon, Caley and Ana and welcomed their daughter, Jilly in 2001. He was an amazingly devoted husband and father. Making sure everyone felt loved and cared for, from hand delivering flowers and gifts to his wife and daughters on Valentine’s and Mother’s Day, showering the grandchildren with more love and candy than anyone could imagine, and always telling his children that “no matter what you can always come home.” Wesley had recently been promoted to Corporal at NWCX, where he had worked for the last 8 years. During his time of employment there, he made a lasting impression on everyone he worked with.
Although he was extremely proud of his promotion at work, his favorite promotion he ever received was going from “Dad” to “Big Daddy.” There was nothing he enjoyed more than spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Every day when he walked through the door, he was greeted with so much love and happiness that he was home. Little arms that wrapped around his legs yelling “Big Dad’s here!” as loud as they could. He would always come in with treats for everyone. He loved coming home to see everyone together, usually we were all waiting for him. If he had it his way, we would’ve all lived in the same house forever. He never complained about the noise, the chaos or the messes, he loved what it stood for, a full home is a happy home. From sitting in the floor and coloring, shooting nerf guns, dressing up, playing doctor or just sitting and watching a movie, he enjoyed doing whatever the grandchildren wanted him to do.
He is survived by his wife, Stacey; their children, Jonathon Pleasant, Caley Purvis, Ana Purvis and Jilly Kirk; one son-in-law, Kameron Kirk; 10 grandchildren from the age of 18 years to 5 months old; and his mother, Kay.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Pleasant; and his brother, David.
An intimate memorial has been planned, but due to the expected weather this weekend a date has not been set.
