Mary Lee Coday
Mary Lee Coday, 86, of Richmond, Va., and formerly of Kenton, died Dec. 4, 2023.
A Celebration of Life service for Mary Lee will be held at Union Grove Methodist Church near Kenton on Sunday, May 19, at 1 p.m.
Mary was born Dec. 12, 1937, to William Casey Coday Sr. and Polkie Lee Coday. Mary was raised on her family farm and attended Union Grove Methodist Church. She was a great basketball player in high school. After graduating high school, she moved to Richmond. She was a dedicated employee and retired from Millhiser bag company. She was a longtime faithful member of Hardy Central Baptist Church in Richmond.
Other than her parents, Mary Lee was preceded in death by her brother, William Casey Coday Jr.; and sister, Diana Coday Bray; and followed in death by her sister, Virginia Coday Cherry.
She is survived by her brother, Jerry Lynn Coday of Clarksville; sisters, Margaret King of Clarksville and Margie Betts of Charlotte, N.C.; and nephews and nieces whom she dearly loved.
In lieu of flowers, Mary requested donations be made to Union Grove Methodist Church, 3055 East Union Grove Road, Kenton, TN 38233.
