Union City man arrested in Martin for sexual battery

A Union City man has been charged with sexual battery after an incident at a local bar in Martin where he smacked a bartender’s buttocks.

On Jan. 28 at 2:41 a.m. Patrolman Austin Wynn with the Martin Police Department was out doing a walkthrough of the bar when an individual approached him stating that someone at the bar wearing a pink shirt had smacked one of the bartenders in the buttocks.

Upon arrival at the var counter, Wynn spoke with the victim/bartender, and she stated that 29-year-old Montana Blake Powell smacked her in the buttocks when she walked by.

Powell has been charged with sexual battery.
