AROUND THE WORLD — Jones-Walker Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4862 chaplain Ed Southern (from right) and auxiliary president Pamela Crone greeted Dustin Johnson of Benton, Mo., and Brian Hoover of Tulsa, Okla., Monday as the two came into Union City late Monday afternoon. Johnson and Hoover are on an Around the World Run/Bike, a journey that will have them running and biking, respectively, 16,300 miles across five continents and will take one year to complete. In addition to having the opportunity to break world records, they are raising money to build tiny houses for homeless veterans in Johnson’s home state and improve and build hiking, biking and horse trails in Hoover’s home state.
