READY TO CROWN
READY TO CROWN — Miss Union City queens from 2021 are ready to crown their successors March 26 when the annual pageants are held at the Union City Civic Auditorium. Applications may be picked up in the office of Union City School System’s elementary, middle or high schools. The fee for early entry is $25 when made by March 23. Contestants may register at the door for $35. The pageants will begin at 9 a.m., with the Wee Baby pageant for girls ages birth to 12 months, followed by Baby Miss (13-23 months), Tiny Miss (2-3 years), Petite Miss (4-5 years), Young Miss (6-7 years), Little Miss (8-9 years), Junior Miss (10-12 years), Teen Miss (13-15 years) and Miss Union City (16-21 years). All contestants 5 years and older must be students in the Union City School System. Representing the Miss Union City pageants will be (front, from left) Tiny Miss Carlisle Peery, daughter of Charles and Kylie Peery; Petite Miss Keatyn Hall, daughter of Jason and Cindy Hall; Little Miss Averi Riley, daughter of Matt and Olivia Riley; (back) Junior Miss Mattie Elizabeth Smith, daughter of Matt and Chasity Smith; Teen Miss Laken Prather, daughter of Jeff and Stormi Victory; and Miss Union City Briley Coffey, daughter of Tiffany Roney and Ben Coffey. They were joined by Steve Emrich of Steve’s Jewelers. He and his wife, Missy, donated the crowns for this year’s event. Also representing Union City will be (not pictured) 2021 Baby Miss Lexington Eddington, daughter of Alex and Mitch Eddington; and Toddler Miss Poppy Claire Parks, daughter of Ron and Kristen Parks.
